Maintenance And Installation Of Gear Reducers

Jun 14, 2026

The following precautions should be taken when installing and maintaining a geared motor:

1. Before use, please check the geared motor for any external damage or oil leaks.

2. Please confirm that the specifications of the purchased geared motor match the design specifications.

3. Please confirm the operating voltage of the geared motor. If the voltage is unstable, a voltage stabilizer can be installed.

4. Please ensure the mounting base is secure to prevent loosening during operation.

5. When using accessories such as pulleys, sprockets, and couplings, please install them according to relevant regulations.

6. When the geared motor is running, the rated current must not exceed the current value indicated on the motor nameplate.

7. The geared motor body is pre-lubricated with grease; the lubricant does not need to be changed for 12,000 hours.

8. Please pay attention to the surrounding temperature, humidity, and pH levels.

9. The geared motor is suitable for environments ranging from -10°C to +40°C, with humidity below 90%, and indoor altitudes below 1000 meters. 10. Improper installation, maintenance, or operation may cause serious damage to the geared motor.

11. Before repairing or disassembling, ensure that the external power supply is completely disconnected from the geared motor.

12. Safety protection devices must be properly installed to ensure absolute operational safety.

13. The motor must be grounded; please refer to relevant power distribution regulations.

14. Ensure all installed components and transmission accessories are securely fixed before starting the geared motor.

15. If the geared motor is used with a frequency converter for low-speed transmission, an independent auxiliary cooling fan must be installed.

16. After a single-phase geared motor is powered off, some charge may remain in its capacitor; please discharge it or ground the terminals first.
